Skills Bootcamps are the modern, practical way to build your skills to get the job you want. If you’re aged 19 or above, in work, self-employed, recently unemployed or returning to work after a break, and looking to quickly increase your skills in a specific area and fast-track into a new job or get ahead with your current employer, a Skills Bootcamp could be the right choice for you.

Overview

The Sheffield College-led South Yorkshire consortium has been selected to offer Skills Bootcamps – part of the government’s Lifetime Skills Guarantee and Plan for Jobs.

The Sheffield College is the lead provider of the South Yorkshire Skills Bootcamps in digital skills consortium that includes Barnsley College, RNN Group, and The Developer Academy.

Our offer

From October 2021 the consortium will offer specific Skills Bootcamps include Infrastructure Technician, Software Development Technician and Cyber Security Technologist.

Eligibility

The Skills Bootcamps are open to adults aged 19 and over (regardless of prior attainment) who are either:

  • employed
  • self-employed
  • recently unemployed within the last 12 months
  • returning to work after a break

Additionally, applicants should have a keen interest in the subject and a reasonable level of Maths and English.
