The Level 2 AAT qualification is the first step of our professional accounting programme. This course is designed for people who wish to develop a career in Accounting. It is suitable for accounting staff who wish to enhance their skills and qualifications. It is also suitable for individuals who have achieved a Level 1 accounting qualification or those who wish to change career. As a professional course, membership of AAT is required.
A minimum of A* - C grades in GCSE English and Mathematics (or Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy).

AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualifications open up huge opportunities nationally and internationally. The qualifications are recognised throughout the world; from small local enterprises to the biggest multinationals, there is a demand for qualified accounting staff.
The Sheffield College was awarded Winner of the 2015 AAT Award for Training Provider of the Year (Medium).
You will need a textbook for each unit. Your tutor will advise you on the cheapest source at the start of the course, and you are advised to budget around £75 for these books. Limited textbooks are available in the college LRC for short term loans.
Professional membership of AAT is a requirement (£135 for the first year) and examination resits carry an additional charge (approximately £60).
