The College, which has four main campuses in the city, offers a wide range of academic and vocational courses. They include access courses, apprenticeships, diplomas, A Levels and university level degrees.

This week, visitors are invited to attend an open day on Thursday, October 12th, from 3.30pm to 7.00pm, which will run simultaneously at the College’s City, Hillsborough, Peaks and Olive Grove campuses.

Guests will have a chance to meet teaching staff, tour the multi-million pound facilities and find out about courses, careers, work experience and student enrichment activities as well as additional support. Family and friends are also welcome. All of the campuses have good public transport links.

Angela Foulkes, Principal, The Sheffield College, said: “Our students develop skills for work and life and benefit from an inspirational learning experience with the opportunity to move on to the next level course up to and including degrees. We look forward to welcoming visitors and showing them the exciting range of courses on offer and our fantastic facilities.”

Olivia Eades, 19, is completing an accounting apprenticeship because she wanted to get a head start on a career. She spends four days a week training in the workplace with Bond Bryan Architects in Crookes, and one day studying at the College. For more information click here and visit http://www.bondbryan.com/

Olivia said: “I’m keen to get on with my career, and I’m really interested in the business side of the company. I love coming into work, and I’ve settled in quickly. Everyone’s made me feel very welcome. It also feels great to earn as I learn.”

Further open days are planned for November 2017 as well as January and March 2018. For more information, and to book your free place, click here or call 0114 2602600.
