What to expect from one of our Virtual Open Days?

Find out more about our amazing courses and meet our expert tutors

Each of our curriculum areas has their own space at our Virtual Open Day, from which you will be able to explore all of the study programmes available in that area and find out what it’s like to be a student and study at The Sheffield College.

Furthermore, when you register for our Virtual Open Day you will be given the chance to sign up for live webinars with our dedicated tutors, who will be able to provide more details about the programmes we offer and what you can expect from them.

Download one of our prospectuses

Just like at one of our regular Open Days, you will be able to download a copy of this year’s prospectus. These cover all of our full-time, A Level, HE, Access, and Apprenticeship programmes and are a good source of information when submitting your application.

Take a virtual tour of our facilities

We understand that it can be hard to make a decision about studying with us without seeing our facilities. To make your decision easier we have included 360-degree virtual tours of our campuses throughout our Virtual Open Day. Using these tours will allow you to explore where you will be learning next year, as well as some of our specialist facilities like our dog grooming salon or photography studio.

View some examples of current and past student work

Sometimes the best way to decide on a course is to see some examples of the work you might be doing; that's why we have included past students’ work on our Virtual Open Day pages, so that you can see what you could be producing when you come to study with us. Some of our students also help to answer questions on our Q+A boards, so you can find out what it’s like at The Sheffield College straight from the horse’s mouth.

Access careers advice to figure out the best route for you

As well as our tutors, our Careers Advice Team will be on hand to provide you with any careers guidance you might need. They will be answering your questions all night on our Q+A boards, as well as hosting a webinar about the services they provide all year round. Definitely not one to miss!

Get advice on travelling to college, your finances, and support with your application

Finally, our Student Services Team will be answering your questions about anything from getting to college, to how you will fund your studies. Our support teams will also be on hand to answer any questions you might have about our childcare facilities, and how we are prioritising and supporting the mental wellbeing of our students via our mental health support service.

We will also have representatives from our Students’ Union who can tell you about the services they provide and about the extracurricular activities available to Sheffield College students.
