VOD - A Levels

Welcome to The Sheffield Sixth Form - the brand new home of A Levels at The Sheffield College

At The Sheffield Sixth Form our A Levels give you the opportunity to study a varied and exciting education, with subjects ranging from Fine Art and Film Studies to English Literature and Physics.

Are A Levels for you?

A Levels give you a unique opportunity to study three or four different subjects at the same time, as you work towards gaining UCAS points for university entry and developing your knowledge in the subjects you choose.

They're a great choice if you want to go on to university after college (although that's not your only option, far from it!), are interested in studying a combination of subjects together (for example, if you're interested in people you might choose to study psychology, sociology and politics) and if you enjoy learning in a classroom-setting.

Most A Levels are assessed through a combination of coursework and end of year exams. Academic study skills (such as research, referencing and essay writing) are also embedded within all our A Levels as we help you develop transferable skills required for university and employment.

What subjects are available to me?

The Sheffield Sixth Form offers 17 A Level subjects from biology to sociology. We have also recently welcomed computer science, economics and politics!
