Tell Me More

The Helping Skills course is a stand alone qualification not just for those who wish to progress onto counselling courses. The course considers how to support others through active listening and how to develop your existing listening skills through practical activities which are informed by theory and best practice.

The content and delivery of the course would be advantageous to anyone who was considering or currently working in a helping role within health, education and social care. It would also be a good course to do for anyone who wanted to know more about themselves and improve relationships with others.

The course not only considers your own motivations for wanting to help others but the potential barriers that might get in the way of doing this. Therefore, the ability to be self-aware and be willing to personally develop through reflection is very important.
