About this Course

This course will suit you if you wish to gain an insight in to the exciting life of airline cabin crew. You will gain an introduction in to safety procedures, standard operating procedures, aviation medicine and the glamourous side of impeccable grooming that is essential to the industry. You will also gain invaluable skills and knowledge in how to be successful in the recruitment procedure, identifying the skills and attributes that airlines are looking for.

Entry Requirements

Four GCSEs grade A* - D / Grade 3 or above, including English Language and Maths.


Please note: if an exemption has been made, you must continue to study towards your qualification in Maths/English grade C/3 or above alongside your course.

  • One on-line test
  • Coursework (Assignments will be set and all deadlines must be met)
  • Practical Assessments e.g. Emergency Evacuation, Safety Demonstration etc.

Facilities
The Sheffield College's City campus is a vibrant college with state of the art facilities including spacious dedicated blending learning classrooms, together with a mock-up aircraft plus a designated passenger check-in area where practical role plays will be carried out. You will be trained by experienced lecturers from the airline industry who possess a wealth of knowledge from Charter to Scheduled airlines with links to industry which include British Airways, Thomas Cook and Virgin Atlantic.

Study Visits
A visit to Crane Bank, British Airways training facility at London Heathrow Airport will be included in your course, where you will carry out practical activities such as fire procedures, emergency evacuation and safety demonstrations. Additionally, you will gain basic First Aid skills including CPR and take part in a practical session at Ponds Forge where you will demonstrate lifesaving skills in the water.

Extra Costs

A uniform is compulsory and this must be purchased prior to the start of the course, details of which will be provided.
