This Graphic Design course is aimed at those students who have previously studied at Foundation Degree level (or equivalent) and now wish to top-up their qualification to a full Bachelor's degree with a further year of study. You will develop your emerging practice and position yourself in your specialist field underpinned by theoretical, critical and contextual understanding of where your practice is positioned in the wider academic, cultural and creative world. You will undertake modules of minor and major practical projects underpinned by critical and contextual theory.
Methods of assessment and feedback, including moderation/internal and external verification and the requirements for progression through the programme, are explained during induction. They will be reinforced at all module briefings and at relevant times during tutorials.
Successful students may wish to consider progression onto postgraduate study at Sheffield Hallam University or elsewhere.
We have an excellent and established track record of progression into employment. Students successfully completing the course will have the opportunity to gain employment and enter professions in the creative arts industry in a variety of related areas.
