At The Sheffield College, we offer a wide range of university level courses in a non-traditional setting within our college. Here are the benefits:
Due to the number of students that attend, traditional universities can be overwhelming places.
At The Sheffield College, our university level students benefit from smaller class sizes than at traditional universities. Our small and friendly atmosphere allows you to develop supportive relationships with our tutors who are industry experts, as you work towards achieving your goals.
You won’t have to do this on your own.
Our Student Support Team, tutors and study assistants will be with you throughout your degree to offer you personal support that makes you time studying as easy as possible. That could be supporting you to find accommodation or childcare, offering disabled access and support, dealing with issues of a personal nature or advising you on tuition fees and finances.
Talking of fees and finances, you will be eligible for a student loan through Student Loans Company for support with:
Our tuition fees are around £3,000 less a year than traditional universities which means less debt to repay after you’ve graduated.
You may also be eligible for our HE Bursary scheme which will support you with essential course costs, such as equipment, trip costs and books. Click here to find out more.
All of our courses are career driven which means they are designed to do everything they can to help you get the career you want after you graduate. Most of our courses include at least one of the following, to give you that little bit extra over other candidates in the future:
Just as being the first can be daunting, being the first to succeed can be the best feeling going! Imagine the feeling of being the first person you know to graduate! The sense of pride and accomplishment you will feel upon graduating will be unrivalled, helping you to gain exactly the career that you want.
As soon as you’ve graduated, you’ll be able to share your experiences, advice and knowledge to help people that you know achieve your dreams – just as you’ve achieved yours.
We know that there’s a lot to take in and big decisions are to be made. If you would find it helpful to book an appointment with one of our expert Careers Advisers to discuss further, please email CEIAG@sheffcol.ac.uk
