You might have heard of a T Level, but if you’re not sure how they can help you with your progression, keep reading.
T Levels are a two-year qualification, equivalent to three A Levels. The main difference is, when you study a T Level, you study one main subject and you will also complete a 45-day work placement as part of your qualification.
T Level > Employment > Your dream career
T Level > Apprenticeship > Employment > Your dream career
T Level > University > Employment > Your dream career
Depending on your aspirations and the T Level you choose, any one of these progression routes is a possibility. After your T Level, if you choose to continue studying with an Apprenticeship or a university level qualification, your tutor at The Sheffield College will be able to support you in your next steps. We have a number of Apprenticeships and university level courses that could help you reach the next part of your progression ladder.

Once you complete your T Level, you’ll have a wealth of industry and theoretical experience under your belt, making you the ideal candidate should you want to head straight into employment. You’ll also have the skills and knowledge to progress into an Apprenticeship, should you want to do more on-the-job learning and development. You’ll even have UCAS points that you can use to apply for a university level qualification.
Whichever route you choose, you can be sure that studying a T Level will stand you in good stead for progressing to your ideal occupation, and at The Sheffield College, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
