Veezu, formerly known as City Taxis, has pledged to support college students throughout the year with the Veezu Safe Ride Scheme.
In partnership with The Sheffield College, the initiative ensures that all students can get a lift home even if they don’t have the money for the fare.
Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, students in vulnerable situations can book a journey with Veezu up to the value of £10, by phoning 0114 235 8997 and quoting ‘Veezu Safe Rides’.
A vehicle will be sent to the student as a priority, and the student will be required to hand over their student ID card to the driver-partner as temporary payment.
Within 72 hours the student card will be returned to the college, where the student can collect and settle their fare.
