The information published on these pages shows the number of students who attained a particular degree or other academic award, or a particular level of such an award, on completion of their course with us.
It also shows these numbers by reference to:
It is important to note that the data presented does not show the detail of all students, as small group sizes mean that individuals could be identified if the data was published.
N/A – not applicable as no applicants to this mode of study
N – 20 or fewer students in this population
DP – data suppressed for data protection reasons
EIMD - English Index of Multiple Deprivation
The data contained in the tables have been rounded and suppressed as follows:
The Sheffield College is committed to developing higher level skills in a way that is complementary to the needs of the wider region and our students.
The college has a diverse student population and has developed significant strategies to support students in learning, including:
The college enrols a higher proportion of students who are from underrepresented groups compared to the national average. The college has a high number of students from low participation neighbourhoods, neighbourhoods with a high level of deprivation, ethnic minority groups, mature students and students with a disability. The college aims to support students to access all types of Higher Education provision and therefore it offers a range of Higher National Certificates, Higher National Diplomas, Certificates of Higher Education and Foundation Degrees. To ensure that all students are able to fulfil their potential, the college offers high levels of tailored support. The majority of the college’s students get good qualification outcomes as identified in the college’s Access and Participation Plan.
The table below (Table 1a) indicates the characteristics of those students undertaking first degree qualifications only. The data is marked as ‘N’ because the college’s small group sizes means that it is not reportable in the Office for Students data (as per the key above).
