The Sheffield Chamber of Commerce Business & Enterprise Academy was launched in 2019 and is predominantly based at City Campus, although student from all faculties are eligible to be selected for this academy.

The academy encourages students to achieve their full entrepreneurial potential by providing them with resources and development opportunities. Through the academy students are able to interact with a variety of organisations (all members of the chamber) by participating in interactive sessions such as talks, workshops, live Q&As and more. 

The Sheffield Chamber of Commerce Business & Enterprise Academy is unique in that it is open to students from all faculties, and encourages students to develop their entrepreneurial skills through various engagement opportunities with SCC. So far these have included talks around resilience, business building workshops and presentations from local business moguls. 

In January 2021, The Sheffield Chamber of Commerce Business & Enterprise Academy will launch the 'START UP' programme which has been designed for students to help them set up their own business.

The Sheffield Chamber of Commerce (SCC) is a membership organisation put in place to support, connect and grow local businesses across the Sheffield City region.

As part of the network, the aim is to provide support, raise awareness of the company profile and reduce business costs. Support is also provided in all areas of business development, marketing, international trade and at a senior level in terms of policy and representation.
