Talented Bradley Thompson’s design is now on the cup sleeves of hot drinks served from the College’s coffee shops.
His design also features in a social media advent calendar campaign run by the College’s marketing team.
The festive competition is open to students completing the UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art and Design (Graphic Design) course.
Bradley, aged 19, who is based at Hillsborough Campus, said: “I’m over the moon at winning, as the quality of work from the other entries was really high.”
He added: “I aimed to create a minimalist, simplistic look with symbols that we all relate to at Christmas. I put a lot of time into it so it’s a great feeling to see the final design on the cups.”
Bradley’s ambition is to go on to study graphic design at university. He explained: “I’m passionate about the subject and I’m really enjoying my course. I’d like to thank my tutors Kelly and Andy for their encouragement and support.”
Kelly Edwards, Course Leader at The Sheffield College, said: “Working to a brief helps our student develop the skills they need to go further in their careers. This year’s standard of entries was very high. Congratulations to Bradley on his success.”
