The Sheffield College is throwing open its doors to the local community and inviting young people and adults to an open day this week.
School leavers, and their parents and carers, and adult learners are invited to find out more about the education and training opportunities on offer.
The open day takes place on Wednesday, November 23rd, 2022, from 4pm until 7pm, at the College’s main campuses: City, Hillsborough, Olive Grove and Peaks.
Visitors will be able to meet teaching staff, tour the facilities, get information and advice on different study options and speak to the College’s careers team.
Details about the new T Level qualifications starting in September 2023, sporting and enrichment activities and financial support, childcare and travel, will also be provided.
Angela Foulkes, Chief Executive and Principal, The Sheffield College, said: “It’s an exciting time to join our award-winning college. We offer a wide range of courses, have great facilities and benefit from strong links with employers that enable students to go further in their career.”
The College offers academic, vocational and professional qualifications including access courses, apprenticeships, diplomas, A Levels and degrees.
During the last year, the College has won a series of awards including the employer engagement category of the Educate North Awards 2022, which celebrate excellence in the education sector.
The award recognises the College’s trailblazing work involving employers in the curriculum to ensure that students get the skills to go further in their careers.
The College was also a runner-up in two Association of Colleges’ Beacon Awards 2022: The National Centre for Diversity Award for Inclusive Learning Leadership and The RCU Award for Support for Students.
