Our motor vehicle students are based at our recently refurbished Olive Grove Campus, where we've invested over £8 million in state-of-the-art automotive facilities so that you're getting the very best experience and are ready to start employment when you leave us.

Work-Related Activity, Trips and Visits

As a student at The Sheffield College, you will be encouraged to spend time with an employer in a real life or simulated working environment as part of your study programme.

We work closely with employers across Sheffield and the region to make sure you develop the exact skills and industry-specific knowledge that will enable you to shine throughout your career.

We create opportunities for you to:

  • visit employers at their place of work
  • undertake industry placements and much more

By 2028, there will be over 15,850 jobs in automotive in South Yorkshire providing opportunities for employment as a:

  • Vehicle Body Repairer
  • Motor Vehicle Fitter
  • Quality Testing Engineer

After finishing their studies with us, many students go on to university or into employment.
