Sensory Spectacle Employer Skills Academy
The Sensory Spectacle Employer Skills Academy was launched in September 2024. This academy is based at our City Campus Nursery. Through this academy, our City Nursery was gifted with £30,000 worth of fantastic sensory equipment that is imperative to some of our nursery children. Sensory Spectacle provide a variety of staff training to ensure that we are up to date with the latest knowledge as to how sensory equipment can benefit children.
Sensory Spectacle provide specialist trainers to inspire our nursery staff by giving an insight into sensory training and equipment.
They provide our employees with an opportunity to learn and develop their skills to support continual professional development and ensure that we are providing an excellent service to all our potential users of the City Campus Nursery.
Founded in 2014, the aim of the Sensory Spectacle Team is to educate and raise awareness of Sensory Processing Disorder through immersive learning. As well as offering Makaton Training, the team have created some unique training to help others
understand and explain the way some children and adults with SPD are responding to their environment through their senses. Some of this training includes:
On top of all these online training workshops, the team have also created a unique selection of face-to-face workshops, feel it, do it, know it.
