Discovery STEM Education also offers an opportunity for our students to take part in global robotics events, such as the World Educational Robot Contest, sometimes held here in Sheffield.

Discovery STEM Education is a not for profit organisation.
They offer bespoke enrichment days, after school clubs, holiday workshops, career specific courses for post-16 students and CPD for teachers. These are delivered by experienced practitioners with expertise in engaging young people.
A major focus of their STEM career building strategy is to provide the best platforms for UK children to become future leaders in tech-related industries. In the summer of 2018 they held the inaugural UK World Educational Robot Contest (WER) at the Octagon Centre in Sheffield.
They collaborate closely with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Sheffield University and their doctoral training centres (where students investigate machining and tri biology).
By helping children of all backgrounds to explore and experience science and engineering, they can inspire and motivate the next generation, supporting young people to become the Sheffield scientists, technologists, engineers and mathematicians who will shape our future and take on the world's greatest challenges.
They work with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Ambassadors and are approved by Sheffield City Council as a Children's University Learning Destination (ages 5 — 18).
Make the most of every opportunity, it’ll help you gain the skills and experience which will be useful in any career.
