Our Learning Resource Centres have all the tools and resources you will need to reinforce, enrich and develop your knowledge and skills.

Our well qualified, experienced and friendly staff are on hand to help you, facilitating access to a growing catalogue of print, audiovisual and electronic resources that support the college's study programmes. The resources have been specially selected by tutors and library staff to help you succeed in your studies.

The resources have been specially selected by tutors and library staff to help you succeed in your studies.

If you need any assistance accessing any resources do not hesitate to ask a member of the LRC team. On arrival at the college, students are introduced to the services currently available and provided with updates on new resources as they progress.

In the Learning Resource Centres you can find:

Learning Resource Centre staff

Learning Resource Centre staff provide an innovative, responsive service supporting the learning, teaching and research needs of students in a welcoming learning environment that is all-inclusive.

In addition to resources and advice they can support with:

  • tailored LRC inductions
  • study skills support
  • assignment support
  • maths and English support to GCSE level
  • revision and exam preparation

LRC SERVICES AND SUPPORT AVAILABLE - COVID-19

We continue to be committed to providing a high-quality service and support for all students, even in the presence of CV-19. For the foreseeable future, our services and support will be largely online, however you can still use the LRC to:

If you are using the LRC’s physical spaces whilst on campus, we ask that you adhere to our CV-19 guidance by:

  • ensure your own devices are fully charged before use as there may be limited availability to charge as you work
  • booking PCs in advance - you can email us to book an IT session
  • adhering to social distancing measures at all times - including table/PC usage at a distance of 1.5 metres
  • using hand sanitiser facilities
  • cleaning down your work station before and after use
  • remembering that the LRCs are not social areas, only use the LRCs if you have booked in to use our facilities
  • being patient - we have reduced our staffing numbers on-site in-line with Covid-19 guidelines so some services may take longer than normal
