Accountability Statement

FE colleges must publish an annual statement about the contribution their education and training is already making towards meeting national, regional, and local needs and how their provision will change in the coming year to increase that contribution.

Review of Meeting Skills Needs

The college’s governing body has a duty to keep under review its provision in relation to local needs. To help meet that duty, in 2023, governing body commissioned KADA Research Ltd to conduct independent research into what the college provides and the extend to which it is meeting skills needs. As well as extensive desk research using the Local Skills Improvement Plan and emerging city and regional skills strategies, the review was informed by consultation with employers, civic, community and education partners. The final report informed the college’s Accountability Statement for 2023-24.
