If your Apprentice is on an Apprenticeship Standard (rather than a framework), before they complete their programme and get their certificate, they must sit an End Point Assessment (EPA). The purpose of the EPA is to test that an Apprentice is fully capable of doing their job, and therefore ready to become a fully qualified worker.
