Here at The Sheffield College, we want you to have the best learning and cultural experience possible. Our clubs and societies have done all kinds of exciting things, not least trips to New York, Beijing and beyond!
We have a club and society for almost anything, perfect for pursuing hobbies new and old and also meeting like-minded people who share your passions. What’s more, we can even help you set up your own if none of the current clubs or societies we have take your fancy.
The Turing Scheme is the UK government’s programme to provide funding for international opportunities in education and training across the world. It supports Global Britain by providing an opportunity for UK organisations from the higher education, further education, vocational education and training and schools sectors to offer their students, learners and pupils life-changing experiences to study or work abroad.
Here at The Sheffield College, we also support students from a disadvantaged background with costs for passports, visas and anything else which would create a barrier to participation.
The trips have been a range of work experience and industry and cultural visits, including some language lessons with all travel, food and accommodation funded.
Next year’s trips will include Brazil, St Lucia, Antigua, Thailand, Florida, Fiji and Bali. What’s more, we’ve now secured some funding for HE students as well as funding for our FE students.
