The Level 1 Bakery qualification is the first step towards your career in bakery. Designed for people who wish to work in this popular industry, the course will ensure you develop the basic skills needed and become familiar with industrial equipment. Most students would normally start at Level 1 but for some students Level 2 may be more appropriate.
This course further develops the bakery skills that you gained at Level 1, allowing you to develop skills in cake decoration and patisserie, as well as creating bread products. This will prepare you for work in the baking industry at an operational level, in both confectionery and bread production.
This course will give you an opportunity to learn about food preparation and to develop your employability skills.
This course will give you a basic introduction to the catering industry. You will learn the basic skills and processes required to prepare you for work in this industry at an operational level.
You will be able to develop the skills learnt at Level 1 to learn more about food preparation and more complex cooking techniques, alongside developing your food and beverage service skills.
