The Foundation Diploma Art and Design UAL Level 3/Level 4 qualification is an exciting, intensive and rewarding programme of study that is designed to allow you to develop and hone your artistic/designer skills and make informed decisions about your progression opportunities, usually into art and design in higher education.
This course focuses on the practical development and application of knowledge and skills required by anyone wishing to pursue a career in architecture, interior design or product design. The programme is designed to help you to discover and develop your talents, interests and strengths within the spectrum of 3-dimensional design. You will work on live, industry standard briefs and exhibit your work in a final show so that you are prepared for work in industry. You will also take part in trips and visits to local galleries and museums.
Computer aided design (CAD) is the use of computer software to create, modify, analyse, and optimise the design of a product. 2D CAD is the process of creating 2D drawings of objects using CAD software. The course is delivered in a blended learning format, which includes a combination of online learning and face-to-face workshops.
The Creative Arts Careers consist of 3 A levels with the option of 2 different pathways. There will be two Core subjects depending on the pathway you choose: Creative Design - Art and Photography or Media - Media and Film. You will also choose a third A Level from the following: English Language, English Literature, Sociology, Maths, Media, Photography, Art.
This qualification is a two year, full-time course that specialises in the animal management sector. It is designed for students who wish to focus their studies on this sector, with a firm intention of progressing to employment in one of the wide variety of roles available. The new BTEC Nationals have been created in collaboration with employers and representatives from higher education and relevant professional bodies so you know that the content is up to date and that it includes the knowledge, understanding, skills and attributes required in the sector. Students will cover topics such as breeding and genetics, animal welfare, animal behaviour and practical animal husbandry.
