About FluidOne Digital Infrastructure Employer Skills Academy

The FluidOne Digital Infrastructure Employer Skills Academy supports students who are passionate about technology, connectivity and digital systems. 

Working closely with industry professionals, students gain valuable insight into the technologies, infrastructure and services that keep organisations connected, secure and operational. Through workshops, masterclasses, employer projects, site visits and industry placements, students develop a strong understanding of both the technical and professional skills required within the sector. 

The academy provides opportunities to explore a range of career pathways within IT and digital infrastructure while building the confidence and experience employers value. Students may also have the opportunity to progress their professional development through wider employer engagement activities and partnerships available across the College.

Students will develop knowledge and skills in areas including: 

  • Digital infrastructure and environments 

  • Network planning and implementation 

  • Cyber security and data protection 

  • Testing, troubleshooting and maintenance 

  • Professional and legal responsibilities within the digital sector 

  • Systems, hardware and connectivity solutions 

  • Emerging technologies and industry best practice
