The Sheffield College's City Campus is a great place to be and perfectly located with just a 10 minute walk from the city centre, and only 5 minutes from the train station.

Our City Campus boasts a sustainable, glass atrium that is 7 floors high and flooded with natural light. Our wide range of facilities include a life-size plane simulator, on site restaurant The Silver Plate run by our catering and hospitality students, science and dental technology laboratories, construction workshops, Revive hair and beauty salon, a children’s nursery and much more.

The Sheffield Sixth Form

Sitting within the heart of The Sheffield College's City Campus. Putting students first in everything that we do, we have created a dedicated learning space for students wishing to study A Levels in Sheffield city centre. Students are able to study a combination of three or four A Levels from our extensive and varied offer.

Parking

  • Free for blue badge holders - no need to book in advance.
  • Some dropped kerbs.

Entrance and reception

  • Permanent ramp/slope leading to main entrance.
  • Automatic double doors.

Indoor access and levels

  • Lift access to all levels.
  • Rumble strips in key areas.

Toilets

  • Accessible toilets on multiple floors (including Braille, tactile, pictorial and written text signage on or near the toilet door).
  • Male and female standard toilets available on all floors.

Eating and drinking

  • Various food outlets serving hot and cold food and drinks:
    • City Campus Diner - Hot food counter and self-service cold counters (drinks and sandwiches)
    • Grab n Go - Hot food counter and self-service cold counters (drinks and sandwiches)
    • Lavazza Coffee - mobile coffee van serving hot drinks

By tram

The Sheffield College is so well serviced by trams we even have a stop named after us! The nearest tram stop to City campus is Granville Road/The Sheffield College.

Trams heading towards Halfway (Blue Line) stop right outside the college, whilst those coming from the opposite direction (heading towards Malin Bridge) stop just across the road.

By bus

Being so close to the city centre you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to bus travel to college. The central bus terminal is only a 10 minute walk, and the 120 bus travelling to Crystal Peaks stops just two minutes away.

By car

From the M1, take Junction 33 onto the Sheffield Parkway, which merges into the A61.

At the large roundabout, take the third exit sign posted A61. Continue on A61, keeping the train station on your left, until you spot a McDonald's restaurant.

Just before the McDonald's take a left onto Granville Road. The entrance to the college is approximately 150 metres up Granville Road, on the right hand side.

Parking

Car parking facilities at City Campus are limited to Blue Badge holders only – please visit our page on the AccessAble site for more detailed access information.

The nearest public parking is the Grosvenor Casino (pay and display) – just 5 a minute walk from the college. This can be accessed by continuing along the A61/Queen’s Road and taking the first left onto Duchess Road. Additional car parking can be found at Q-Park, Sheffield Train Station.

City Campus has parking available for both scooters and motorcycles, as well as secure bike storage - please speak to Student Services to register and gain access to the cycle storage.
