Courses
Love working with animals? Turn your passion into a career. Our animal care courses will give you hands-on skills and experience to care for a wide range of animals - from pets to farm animals and exotic species.
The FdSc Animal Management (Behaviour and Welfare) course is designed to enable career ready, confident, inquisitive, critical thinking and empowered professionals. The programme guides students to not only become autonomous individuals but also develop relationships of teamwork and co-operation with others, with a specialist and transferable skillset to maximise employability in their chosen discipline and other wider potential areas of work.
The HND in Animal Management offers our students the opportunity to undertake animal-based studies at university level. The range of subjects taught gives the students a wide variety of topics to learn, and often we will see our students finding their "specialist area of interest" throughout the HND, directing them towards a life-long career in the animal sector. Students will naturally progress academically and have access to a wide range of support and resources at university level. Lessons take place both on-site at the Hillsborough campus, online (some of our units can facilitate remote learning - however, an element of flexibility is required to attend campus for practical lessons and assessments), and also at a zoological collection in the local area.
