Thinking about your plans for September but not sure which option is right for you?
Planning your future can be stressful and it can definitely feel overwhelming at times. It can feel like there are millions of options for you to choose from, whether that's a full-time study programme, A Levels at The Sheffield Sixth Form or an Apprenticeship. Each option has different features and which is right for you depends entirely on what you're looking for.
To try and help put your mind at ease we’ve included some information below so you can have a read and see which option best suits you!
If you’re wanting to stay in full-time education and are keen on the idea of achieving job-specific technical qualifications, our study programmes will be perfect for you!
Whilst on one of our study programmes you will learn career-specific skills in facilities that replicate the ones you’ll eventually work in.
Great if you’re wanting to study more than one subject. Students have the opportunity to study a varied and exciting education with us at The Sheffield Sixth Form. Located in our City Campus, we have subjects ranging from Fine Art and Film Studies to English Literature and Physics. You will be able to study up to three or four different subjects.
If you prefer work that is more hands on and want experience out in industry rather than in the classroom, an Apprenticeship may appeal to you. Apprenticeships offer a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn and improve your job prospects. You spend one day in college and the rest of the week developing your practical skills and knowledge on the job.
We hope this has helped to give you a bit of an insight as to what options are available to you. However, if you’re still unsure, you can contact our Careers Team for further support and guidance.
