Sport and fitness are incredibly important to staying healthy, having fun, and meeting new people, and can be a really significant part of your college life. Whether you want to compete, play for fun, or simply get fit, we have something for you to get involved in. Some of the sports you could take part in include:

The Activities and Fitness club also help to organise things like sports days, biking sessions, Duke of Edinburgh, colour runs, and TAG rugby leader training, as well as volunteering opportunities for students. Don’t worry if you can’t see something you’d like to try, simply let us know and we’ll do our best to bring some sessions to college.

Students’ Union

Upon enrolment, every student at The Sheffield College automatically becomes a part of the Students’ Union, which is led by a team of democratically elected students who meet regularly to discuss the college and then feed back to the college executive team, managers, and staff.

The aim of the Students’ Union is to provide the best quality education and experience for all students and the local community, all whilst hosting events and building awareness of important issues. To be involved in the Students’ Union, you could become a Students’ Union Officer, take part in clubs, societies, and campaigns, contribute to the Student Newsletter, or simply provide Student Voice feedback. You’ll have your opinions listened to, and have the opportunity to create change both at college and within the wider community.
