About this Course

Businesses hire staff to take on various roles with different duties and responsibilities and this sector is one of the largest and fastest growing in our region. The world of business and professional has something for everyone as it includes such variety. You will find a variety of roles including directors, team leaders, human resources, finance and accounting, customer service and marketing to name a few.

Key Units

Careers you can train for with an Business and Professional Apprenticeship include:  

Assistant Accountant  

An Accounting assistant is a common entry level position in an accounting team. The role would include helping with the operation of the day-to-day activities such as data entry and VAT returns. 

Business Administration  

A Business administrator is a common entry level role in the business sector. The role would include handling day-to-day tasks and providing office support to the wider team. 

Customer Service Practitioner  

A Customer service practitioner is a common entry-level role within the sector. The role would include managing customer relationships, offering advice, guidance and support and problem-solving. 

People Professional  

A People professional role is typically mid-level to senior managers level within the HR team. In this role you will be expected to provide and lead the delivery of HR solutions to business challenges and develop and implement annual people plans. 

HR Support  

A HR support role is typically an entry to intermediate level within the HR team. In this role you will be expected to handle the day-to-day queries, provide HR advice ranging from recruitment to retirement and work with the business on HR changes. 

Professional Accounting or Taxation Technician 

A Professional accountant and taxation technician have the responsibility for creating and/or verifying and reviewing information within their organisation or on behalf of other organisations. 

Multi-channel Marketer  

A Multi-channel marketer role is typically an entry to intermediate level within a sales, marketing or procurement team. 

Customer Service Specialist  

A Customer service specialist helps customers have a positive experience with a company's product or service. One a day-to-day basis, you will communicate directly with customers to solve problems and answers questions.

Assessment

During your standard, you will develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours to ensure your readiness for your End Point Assessment (EPA).
