This course is an introduction to the work of the Uniformed Public Services and offers you the opportunity to develop the skills and personal qualities needed for further study or employment.

You will be expected to study Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths, and a course in Personal and Social Development. There is also the opportunity to study for additional qualifications such as awards in volunteering, self defence and sports leadership.

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for this course are 4 GCSE grades A* - E / grade 2 or above.


Alternatively, a suitable entry level qualification will also be considered.

Extra Costs

Uniformed Public Services students are expected to wear a uniform which includes a course polo shirt and appropriate clothing when at college, but especially when representing the college on visits.
