This course is ideal for people who are interested in a career in the health and social care sector. This could include caring for elderly people in a care home, working with adults or children with learning disabilities or helping people recover from illness or injury in a hospital or care centre. At Level 2 you'll develop and build on the skills and knowledge acquired at Level 1.
Level 2 CACHE Health and Social Care consists of two core units, two mandatory units and five specialist units.
Core Units
4 GCSEs grades A* - D / grade 3 or above (or acceptable alternatives), including English Language.
Successful completion of this qualificagtion, good attendance and punctuality along with tutor recommendation can lead to one of our Health and Social Care CACHE Level 3 programmes or other Level 3 programmes. We expect students to be aiming for at least a merit grade at Level 2 to support good progression to Level 3.

Will the qualification suit me?
An ideal person for this qualification is one who is interested in caring for vulnerable people of all ages and abilities in a care capacity. It is an advantage to be a patient person who enjoys helping people.
A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required for students going on work placements and will be carried out at the start of the course. Students will need to pay for this and the cost is £52. (Please be aware that this may change).
