This course is for you if you have a lively and enquiring mind, a willingness to explore new ideas and you have a keen interest in business and management. You will learn all about the exciting world of business and have the opportunity to apply your learning in a practical and realistic way. This is course also equips you well for further study at University or employment in a wide range of industries.

In your second year you will choose a specialist pathway (Accounting, Law or Marketing) and study modules specific to your specialism.
5 GCSEs grades A* - C/grade 4 or above (or acceptable alternatives), including English Language and Maths.
You will largely be assessed through coursework, however some units do include controlled assignments under exam conditions.
There are a wide variety of employment opportunities open to students who successfully complete the Extended Diploma.
Students could enter employment in various areas of business such as:
Past successful students have entered into trainee programmes with leading national businesses such as Marks and Spencer and B Braun.

The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business is accepted for entry to university and carries UCAS Tariff points equivalent to 3 A Levels. Please check the UCAS website for more details.
Additional costs may include paying for printing costs if you want to print your assignments off at college.
You will also be expected to contribute towards the cost of any study trips and visits.
