About this Course

This course is a training programme suitable if you would like to be a Dental Nurse. A dental nurse provides ‘chair-side support’ for the dental team which includes dentists, dental therapists, hygienists and technicians.

  • Sterilisation

You will learn about oral health promotion and preventative dentistry techniques. Some units will focus on patient care and management and you will cover legal and ethical issues as well as Health and Safety.

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs grades A* - C, including English Language, Maths and Double Science. 


You will also need to gain a suitable employer.

Where does this Lead

Once trained, Dental Nurses can progress into other career pathways such as Dental Therapists and Hygienists, Oral Health Promotion, Dental Practice Management or related healthcare roles.
