About this Course

Using electrical and electronic engineering expertise and understanding, you will work to bring concepts to life. You will study subjects like client and customer needs, design principles, design procedures, and design communication.

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above including English, Maths & Science or completion of a T-Level transition and Grade 4 GCSEs in English & maths.

Entry is subject to a successful interview.

We offer a T Level Foundation Year which is a one-year, post-GCSE programme designed to get you T Level ready. It will give you technical knowledge, practical and study skills, English and Maths, work experience and support tailored to you and your chosen T Level and future career path. Assessment

You will be assessed through written and practical examinations, employer set projects, group work and presentations. You will be set targets to work towards and achieve in your mandatory placement to help you develop the skills you need for your second-year practical assessment.

Where does this Lead

Students who successfully complete this qualification will be able to progress to university level study or higher level Apprenticeships.

This is a two-year qualification that has been developed in collaboration with employers and businesses so that the content meets the needs of industry and prepares learners for work. The qualification includes a mixture of classroom learning and on-the-job experience during a mandatory industry placement of at least 45 days.
