About this Course

This level 2 part-time understanding autism course is aimed at helping you progress your skills and knowledge in supporting children with autism in a career and your personal life.

Key Units

The course is split into four manageable units:

Unit 1: Common traits and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Unit 2: Sources of information, support, legislation, and guidance relevant to Autism Spectrum Conditions
Unit 3: Living with Autism Spectrum Conditions
Unit 4: Best practice relating to Autism Spectrum Conditions

The Sheffield College is an approved provider on the Quality Assured Care Learning service.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal requirements, however you will have a guidance session with one of our Personal Tutors to ensure that this course is the right one for you.

Learners must be aged 19 years or over.

Assessment

You will complete an online workbook, supported by your Personal Tutor.

These level 2 courses are free if you are a resident of South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (comprising of Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield), as these qualifications can be fully-funded at no cost to you!
