About this Course

This practical course has been designed to look to the future of the creative industries, enabling the learner to build creative and technical skills, preparing them for potential progression onto a variety of level 2 courses. This is a one year full-time course which offers an exciting blend of Photography, Film, Graphic Design and Journalism.

Key Units

The qualification is made up of seven units, which students must successfully complete. All units are written and delivered in a sequence which enables the learners to build a skill set as they work through the projects. The Final Major Project allows learners to use the skills they have acquired throughout the year to deliver their own project allowing them to become more autonomous in their creative thinking. The Final Major Project takes place at the end of the course when students are at their best. This large project allows students to demonstrate all the learning that has taken place through completion of the other previous projects. This unit is graded Pass, Merit or Distinction and determines the overall qualification grade.
