About this Course

This Level 3 insulation course, will provide you with background knowledge and practical application of various insulation methods. All training will be delivered at a manufactured training facility, which will accommodate hands on practical learning to offer learners a real life industry training experience.

Key Units

Background knowledge of insulation materials and their properties, including how they impact on energy efficiency performance in homes and reduce heat loss and fuel bills. Knowledge to be translated into practical application in workshops designed to mirror buildings across the UK. Students will develop overall knowledge and practical hand skills to enable them to move into/progress through work in the construction/retrofit industry.

Under Floor Insulation
Insulating Framed Sections (studwork)
Loft Insulation

Entry Requirements

Basic construction experience of at least 2 years.

Assessment

Observation, professional discussion, knowledge questioning (not test, competency based assessment only)
