This Level 4 Floristry course is aimed at experienced florists who aspire to, or who are already working at management level within Floristry. The course combines creative floristry techniques with business concepts and processes. Students will work on and develop their creative processes throughout the qualification, culminating in a design portfolio of around 35 technical designs. In addition, students will have opportunities to compete in national competitions and visit large-scale floristry events.
To gain the Level 4 Higher Diploma in Floristry (ICSF), candidates must pass all ten units and three integrated assignments.
Ideally, students will possess the following:
Both practical activities and theory knowledge are assessed by 3 integrated assignments throughout the course, leading to and end-point exam, which will test both the practical skills of the student and also the theoretical knowledge gained.
Once successfully completed, this course could lead to further study on the Level 5 Master Diploma in Professional Floristry.
Successful completion of this qualification could lead students to become a Supervisor or Manager within a retail floristry business.

Students are required to have a fully equipped floristry toolbox (a list of suggested items is available from the course tutor) and also all materials (both fresh and sundry) required for the practical designs need to be brought to college by the student each week.
