About this Course

The Level 2 Diploma in Film & TV Production has been designed to provide students with the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to progress to further study and training in a range of media related subjects. The course includes units in video production, audio production, interactive media and a final major project.

Key Units

Project One:

During the first part of the course, you will be introduced to film-making processes, taught how to use our cameras, and learn how to edit your work using Adobe Premiere Pro. To show off your new skills, you will create a college promo video with your own footage.

Projects Two and Three:
After completing the introductory project, you will develop your skills by researching different audience demographics and creating your own short podcast aimed at one of them. You will then move on to filming and editing a very short film for which you will be given a script and free reign to choose the genre you think fits it best.

Project Four:
You will then create your very own online portfolio to showcase all the work you have done so far, both for college and anything you might have created during your free time.

Project Five:
For your final major project, you will be making a short film of your own design, with full freedom to choose your genre, write your script, and film everything you need. This unit takes you through the process of researching, planning, filming, editing, and presenting your final piece of work for this course.
