The Law Career consists of 3 A Levels with the option of 2 different pathways. There will be two core subjects depending on the pathway you choose: Policing Pathway - Criminology and A Level Law or BTEC Law or Lawyer Pathway - A level Law or BTEC Law & A Level Psychology or BTEC Psychology. You can choose an additional A level from the following: Sociology, History, A-Level Psychology, BTEC Psychology, Politics, English Language, Business.
The Foundation Degree in Public Services: Policing Studies is validated by Sheffield Hallam University This distinctive and exciting Foundation Degree is ideal for students who are considering a career in the Police police Service or other related law enforcement and criminal justice agencies, but are undecided which public services career path to follow or do not currently possess the qualifications or skills to enter onto one of the three routes into policing currently being introduced. This course is also open to serving police officers who do not currently hold a degree and wish to use their record of prior learning as credit towards enhancing their academic skills and obtaining a degree.
This Diploma has been specifically written to enable adults to undertake a year long intensive qualification which, upon completion, will enable sufficient credits to progress to study in Higher Education. The Diploma will introduce students to the fundamental skills to form a basis for further study in policing and links directly into a policing pathway aimed at assisting individuals to further their career prospects in policing and the criminal justice sector.
