The Sheffield College's land based department will be working with Botanical Gardens to deliver a Level 2 Horticulture programme specifically for adults. This full-cost, 1 year course will run at the Botanical Gardens one day a week, with support and access to online materials throughout. This course is perfect for adults wanting to learning something new or upskill their green fingers with guidance from highly qualified teaching staff to gain a qualification accredited by City & Guilds. The majority of content is practical and will consist of small assessments that take place during the course delivery by the teaching team.

This Level 4 Floristry course is aimed at experienced florists who aspire to, or who are already working at management level within Floristry. The course combines creative floristry techniques with business concepts and processes. Students will work on and develop their creative processes throughout the qualification, culminating in a design portfolio of around 35 technical designs. In addition, students will have opportunities to compete in national competitions and visit large-scale floristry events.
If you want to be a gardener, maintain sports turf as a greenkeeper or groundsperson or work in a garden centre the Level 1 Horticulture could be the qualification for you. It is a practical craft qualification providing a good introduction to the horticultural industry and the development of basic horticultural skills.
